About, in long form.

I'm Luiz Tanure, a builder who works across frontend code and physical making. This site is the long version: writing, projects, the workshop, and a running log of what I'm on.
What I do
I write frontend systems for a living, design tokens, component libraries, the unsexy plumbing that makes interfaces feel inevitable. The work I'm proudest of is the kind nobody notices because nothing is in the way.
Off the screen, the workshop is where the rest of me lives. 3D printing, laser cuts, paint, ink, film, different vocabularies for the same instinct: make a small thing carefully, see what survives, throw the rest away.
What I'm trying to get better at
Writing shorter. Shipping smaller. Picking the version that's already in front of me instead of the one I keep hoping for.
Drawing every day, even when the drawings are bad. Especially when the drawings are bad.
Where
São Paulo, Brazil. Studio is a corner of the apartment with a printer, a small laser, and more masking tape than is reasonable. The good light is in the morning.
How to reach me
Email is best, hi@letanure.dev. The site has a command palette: press ⌘K and type "copy email" if you'd rather not retype it. I also read everything that comes through GitHub and reply to most of it within a week.
